Organization Overview

The Captain Nickels Inn offers historic accommodations in a charming setting along Maine's stunning MidCoast region. The inn is situated on six meandering acres directly on the island-studded Penobscot Bay about halfway between the beautiful towns of Camden and Bar Harbor. All rooms are furnished with European and American antiques and feature private baths, flat screen TV's, WiFi, Keurig machines, and modern bath amenities. Our two suites also feature outdoor fireplaces, private balconies and two-person spa tubs. Common areas include two sitting rooms, a library, a lounge, a dining room, and a breakfast conservatory. Evening wine and cheese is served to all guests. Awake to the site of the sunrise across the bay and enjoy a gourmet breakfast in the sunlit breakfast conservatory. Indoor and outdoor fires along with numerous sitting areas invite guests to relax a while and enjoy the beautiful views from the porch, parlors, or large decks overlooking the property. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
